Vehicles currently utilized as cabs are not constructed
with bulletproof windshields, side and rear windshields. The door panels,
roof panels etc. are not designed to bulletproof specifications. 4. How is the quality of communication with passengers? Under most circumstances the Okan Taxi Shield allows for both passenger
and driver to communicate without difficulty. 5. How is a fare paid? (cash and cashless) A tamper proof steel money tray mounted to the passenger side glass allows transactions of both cash and credit card to be transferred from back to front and vice versa. If debit systems are to be used, debit swipe units can be passed through the centre slide window in a partial open position, locking at a few inches to maintain protection. This window can be fully closed once the transaction is completed. 6. How is air conditioning or heat to rear passenger compartment affected? Ventilation openings between top frame, side wing glass and rear passenger foot wells (under front seat) allow proper circulation of heating and air conditioning as required. 7. Self-installment can take up to four or five hours by a novice do it yourselfer. We highly recommend that an authorized Okan technician install the units to guarantee a professional installation. The removal and reinstallation of this unit by an authorized Okan technician takes approximately two to three hours.
